Q. What got you started in the fitness industry/bodybuilding?
A. What got me started in the fitness industry was when I quit cheerleading and realized I lost all of my muscle. I then started working out with my mom who is also a personal trainer, she taught me everything I know. From there I started posting lots of fitness photos and realized how motivational they were to others. That’s when I decided I wanted to be a trainer and help people achieve their goals!
Q. Where does your motivation come from?
A. My motivation comes from the people who tell me I push them to go to the gym! That makes me the happiest girl. The rest comes from within. There is always room for improvement and learning new things.
Q. What does your typical weekly workout plan look like?
A. My weekly workout plan goes a little like this: Monday legs/glutes, Tuesday rest day, Wednesday is a quick circuit of upper body and abs, Thursday leg/glutes, Friday rest… and so on.
Q. What is your favourite bodypart to train?
A. My favorite body part to train is of course GLUTES/legs because I feel that I am the glute master.
Q. What are your thoughts on cardio? Do you prefer HIT or LISS?
A. Cardio isn’t really my thing and I don’t prefer it, id rather just incorporate plyo into my workouts. But if I had to choose I’d say LISS.
Q. If you could choose to have a superpower, what would you choose?
A. If I could choose any super power in the world, I would choose to be Elastigirl from the Incredibles, because life is just so much easier when you’re flexible and able to stretch your arms and legs 500 feet from your body. Also, If at any time I’m at the gym and someone is struggling on the bench press, I could then reach across the gym, and save the day (and someone’s life).
Q. What 3 items from your gym bag would you take with you on a deserted island?
A. 3 items I would take from my gym bag to a deserted island would be… 1) Chapstick 2) Towel to cover up with 3) My ankle strap. My ankle strap could probably come in handy for a few things.
Q. What advice would you pass onto anyone that was looking to start their fitness journey and use supplements?
A. Any advice that I would give to someone who is starting with their fitness journey is to definitely set realistic goals for yourself. Know what your body is capable of and what it is not. Take your time, and enjoy it. As for supplements, only use them to add to your diet. Most diets you can’t get all of the vitamins and nutrients you need, so then supplements are good as an addition to a good eating plan. Never use them as replacements.
Q. In a typical week, what’s your diet like?
A. In a typical week my diet is 97% clean. I always have some source of protein in each meal. Breakfast will look something like a few egg whites, oatmeal, and a yogurt or fruit such as PINEAPPLE! Yum! Lunch will be a chicken breast and veggies, dinner will always be a sort of lean meat like fish, rice, and more veggies. I drink plenty of water throughout my day. Of course I will have cheat meals/and or snacks here and there…. (I’m human too ok)…. I don’t think actual “diets” are necessary. I think keeping your daily diet clean and healthy as a whole is best.
