These few things can help you get out of that rut and back into the gym swing.
Let’s face it, sometimes working out is hard. There will be days where you lack the energy, the motivation or just the want. All things that are pretty normal, but they can really, put a damper on your routine and you may even be tempted to skip your workout or half-ass it.
So, what do you do when you aren’t feeling your workout?
Find a new playlist.
Sometimes it’s as simple as finding a new playlist to listen to while you’re working out. It’s easy to get sick of playlist you listen to every day, and sometimes you just need to mix it up with something new. Luckily, there are so many playlists on Spotify to choose from so you’re in good hands. Check out our favourites for some inspo!
Get some new workout gear.
For ladies, this one will be exciting! For guys, you might not have even considered this option. Something new and shiny always makes you excited to do something. A new handbag makes you excited to go back to work so you can start using it. A new car makes you want to take that road trip you’ve always wanted. A new pair of leggings or a new top will probably make you just as excited to get back into your workout.
The same goes for anyone workout out at home, a new yoga mat could be just the thing to get you back into it.
Take a pre-workout.
If you don’t have enough energy/you’re not in the right mood to workout, then you probably won’t. The answer is as simple as a pre-workout supplement. They provide big boosts of energy and elevate your mood so you feel motivated again. It’s hard not to want to workout after you’ve taken a pre-workout. The elevated energy levels alone, are enough to make you want to “drop and give me 20” right then and there.
All you need to do is decide which one is right for you.
Find your go-to pre-workout snack.

Working out from home? Try a class. If you go to the gym, try going to a park or working out at the beach (seriously.) Try something new just to mix it up and make your workout exciting again.
